Flight Deck Audio Panel
FDAP
The
FDAP (Flight Deck Audio Panel) is mission critical,
digital secure voice interface to the aircraft mission
intercom, FDR (flight deck recorder), ACP (audio control
panel), and sonabuoy. The FDAP is a split-unit (units
share RS-485 serial link). The FDMEU is located in a
flight deck rack; the pilot, copilot, and navigator
actions are routed from the edge-lit FDMCP to the FDMEU
embedded microprocessor. Software is application specific
with bit (built-in test). The FDAP meets the black line
conducted requirements of NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92; the
unit provides an isolation of no less than 100 dB between
unclassified and classified audio channels.
This
FDAP (FDMEU & FDMCP) can be retrofitted to provide
specific control functions. One FDMEU VME slot accepts
customer-specified PWA interface. The FDMCP can be adapted
for specific user interface and NVIS.
